Default My Torsion Crawler

The axles came out of the clodbuster I had when I was 12 or 13. It has mixed matched motors, rooster speed control, modded tq3, and more.

Let me know what you think of my junk. I like it. Especially the total cost!

It's nice, I myself have a pimp cane in the 17-18 in. wheelbase area. One thing though, it is NOT scale, you should put a bug body on it and make it a 2.2 comp crawler. That's just my opinion, it looks good either way. It's different, that could be good or bad depending on how you interpert it.

I like it! It looks a lot scaler than mine, which I think is a good thing where did you get that body? Just some random toy?

Thanks for the comments!

I am not in anyway trying to be scale or fit into any other catergory for that matter. I like it, thats all that matters to me.
I wouldn't mind having having a scale rig, I really like the honco bodied axial w/ 2.2s. Maybe one day I will get one, but for now this one works just fine. It has 8 tooth pinions, four wheel steering, and locked axles. It goes pretty good, but I am still trying to get the weight right with this tire and wheel combination.

It is an axial Dingo body for the SCX 10, thanks for compliment.

A friend at work said if it were scale it would have 2.5 rockwells with 52" tires!

Have a great day gentleman!

I am not sure how well my son's RS10 will go, but I have done a few small mods to insure he won't make the old man look too bad.

First I noticed the body was limiting flex by about 1". To fix this I installed different body posts and put springs around them to hold the body up. Now when the chassis flexes the post can slide up through the mounting holes. It worked great and I now have a 4.25" of articulation.

The next thing I did was cut the tire foams using the 16 point method. This increased the tire patch on the ground, but just wasn't enough.

So I decided to put 3.5 ounces of lead in each front knuckle and 2.0 ounces in each rear knuckle. The 8 ounces in the wheels was not enough, now it seems to plant the tires much bettter.

Wow is all I can say! This thing will now go places it never would before! All I can say is, if I can't hang with the RS10, I will be buying a scx10!
