| clod complete once again!!
i finished my crawler again!!! yay!! moved the lower links to the top of the axle, and remade the uppers- lengthned by 1/4 inch. now the links sit parallel with the ground more or less. next is remaking the upper chassis. it is about an inch higher than it needs to be. also, i could use emaxx shocks instead of savage shocks if i designed it right. more hit and miss for me right now, but trial and error is one way to do it. any tips on finding shock angle and travel of axle so that the shocks bottom out right at 70 to 75 degrees? |

but now it squats too much. anti-squat must be too low. if its not one thing its another!! anybody have trouble with squatting and climbing? i would like the suspension to be nuetral under power, but i want a lot of things! with the links like they are positioned, i would have to shorten the lowers quite a bit i think. |

As for the squat and anti-squat, the location of the links has more to do with that than the length of the links. at least that is how its is in a 1:1.....

John, if you can get a pic of your suspension from the side I can tell you exactly what you need to do ;) otherwise its really hard to say. Also, lowering your COG will reduce squat (raise AS) Oh, one more thing... If you want a super stable/balanced suspension with fairly nuetral characteristics, paralell links are the BEST way to do it. |

alright! my digi camera is not with me. maybe i could get a web cam today or sumpin. links are perfectly parallel, and parallel with the ground (as far as my eye can tell) lower link is say 7 inches, upper is 7.25. i have room to mount the uppers like and inch higher at the chassis, but then it aint parallel no more!! im going crawling to see how it handles just like it is. i measured the WB after the "reconfig" and its 16 inches now. a bit longer than it was! |

OK did anyone of you guys figure this out because I am haveing the same trouble as John. I have my lower links on the top of the C and I have a great deal of sqaut in the rear, I have done a search of the site and I find a ton of stuff on 2.2 with tlt but not on Clod based. Thanks Twisted77 |
