Guess its either so awesome that everyone is speechless or its the worst piece of sh*t on the board and you all can't stop laughing!

Custom Trendz Inc. 06-20-2006 01:29 PM

i cant see pics.

swamp_rat 06-20-2006 01:35 PM

its not bad at all, atleast its something, better than what i have considering mines still in the building process:) ..your pic on the lower shock/link mount looks like you got it mounted well..would you be able to take a pic showing exactly where you mounted it for my reference?

HannibalLecter 06-20-2006 03:30 PM

Do you want to know where the shock mounts on the link or where the link mounts to the axle? As for the link, I use the same screw (longer) that connects the axle support to the axle. The shock mount, and its position on the link, is adjustable - giving you the ability to change your ride height in relation to the shock mounting hole on the chassis. In otherwords, my setup puts the axle about 1/2" back from the end of the Revo rod end that I use.

swamp_rat 06-20-2006 06:11 PM

the top axel brace aboxe the link doesnt hit the lower link when flexing? thats my main concern besides finding the best way to mount the lowers to the axel

and i see how u got the shock mount to be able move..bright idea! my dad has a bigillion of those clamp thingers in one of the toolboxes

pedemaster-rc 06-20-2006 07:08 PM

Yea im wondering the samething as swamp_rat about the lower links with the axle brace deal. Does it restrict the articulation? If so what did you do to keep it from restricting it? I was going to do it but the brace was holding me back.

Nice build, the WEBN frog really brings it together.

It his a little but once you get the links set up right you'll see how the geometry of the 4 link suspension works. It's a mystery until you get it together but it works.

Had to find a way to get the frog in there. Seemed fitting considering the fact that I am re-using a trashed Emaxx body for now. Thanks!! Look forward to meeting you Tri-Staters soon.

HannibalLecter 06-22-2006 05:27 PM

Spent some time with TCreations today...he thinks its a little heavy. So, I threw it away and went and bought a Nylit so I could try again!!!!

If I'd stop screwing with it and breaking the servo horns, I could post some action shots....boss is on vacation and I have too much free time on my hands....

HannibalLecter 06-23-2006 07:44 AM

Oh Noooo!!!!

Action shots are delayed while I dry out the electrical parts.....Challenged myself to crawl next to our garden pond (the only rocks within walking distance) and failed the challenge!

Hope the EVX is ok or both my trucks are OOC.

Thanks!!!

swamp_rat 06-23-2006 08:12 AM

atleast you have rocks over there!:flipoff: ..hope everything works, but you didnt once think of the possibility of falling into the pond? lol
