Anyone made there own t/e-maxx wheel adaptor? I can't pay 40.00 for wheel adaptors. If anyone has let me know, or if anyone has 1 adaptor to spare maybe they can send it to me and I can send you a generic set plus the one. Thanks.

I was thinking of making some maxx adapters. I got these adapters with some rims i bought a while ago that adapted 2.2 in rims to clod axles. I was thinking of cutting off the 2.2 hex and CAing on some maxx ones. Probably wouldn't be the strongest, but it would work for a while.

I also thought about getting the plastic hex nuts and trying to attch them, I think your right though the CA glue probobly isn't strong enough, maybe JB weld. Also thought about filling in the hex part of the rim leaving a hole for the bolt. I dont know why more rims and tires are not made for this truck. :(

Does the clod use the same adapters as the jugg, I will be making these hubs out of aluminum. There is a pic of the solid model in my pics. http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mck...seye/my_photos

Yup, thats the plan. I dont work for a prodution shop but if the ones I make for my truck work out I might make a few more of them. There is companys that make them out of derlin. Thats plenty strong, but I just have desided to make as much as I can, so it really is built by me. I still dont know if the clod and Jugg use the same adapter.

Clod and jugg wheels and rims interchangable. Save a set of those for me, maybe we can work something out.

I got it to work! Well sort of I just cut the center out of a stampede rim and it adapts it to the maxx hex perfectly. The only problem is the tires rub the links a little at full lock and my rims are narrowed and have bft tires. So I don't know if this would work for every one. But maybe all that I need is some stabil Maxx rims.

I machined a set very similar to what skipstr71 has modeled up, mine have a little more offset though. Aluminum, with the corner reliefs on the hex. Then a female/male stud to bolt the wheel/adaptor on. After I was finished I understand why they charge $40 a set.
