| Vintage Clodzilla w/operable snow plow
Dug out my '93 vintage Clodzilla and made a few chassis and suspension mods. Still running the original Sapphire 17 T motors with a Novak Super Duty esc. and 4 wheel steering. I recently made the operable snow plow. Still need to paint the VW bug body. Clod Operable Snow Plow - YouTube |

Here ya go. The front servo mount holds 2 servos, one for the steering and one for the platform lift. I used 2 Kyosho Blizzard blades to make one 16" wide one held in place with an aluminum frame. The servos are from Crawford. [IMG][/IMG] The wheels have 5/8" spacers for more steering clearance. |

Badass stuff! I love vintage Clods. I've had two of them over the years (an original, and a super Clod), and I really miss them both!

Here's a shot of the Clod. Some of the mods include removing the 4 lower links and a couple of the vertical links, and switching to a 4 mount upper link system. Also made a new center section. The servos are mounted next to trans. The servo mounts can hold 2 servos and are tied into the center upper link post. The inner servo is for the steering, the outer servo on the front is for lifting the snow blade. A second servo can be mounted on the rear servo mount for some type of tow truck crane. The rear servo mount has a 3 mm threaded hole so you can lock out the rear steering and not remove the servo. The wheels have 15mm spacers for more turning clearance. The next project in progress is a track system that retains the 4 wheel steering. |

Thought I'd up date this. I switched to Integy 55T motors w/9T pinion, differential lockouts, Holmes esc, Gmade shocks, Hot Racing steering blocks. I made a set of 3.8" aluminum wheels so I could use the paddle tires for more traction, and finally painted the body. |
