| 6 X 6 terra-pup
Hi Guys, New to the Forum, but i thought i'd show you a Build i started a few weeks ago. No expensive spending on this. Started off with a home built Chassis and a pair of Axles Had an old E-Savage ESC which was used to check the Gearboxes with and all was working fine Front Axle was added and rough alignment done Spent a few hours setting the suspension up, but still needs work on it. Still got plenty to do on her but this is where i'm Aiming to get, Colour yet to be determined. |

Thanks guys, still struggling a bit with the steerig tho' Axles widened approx 15mm either side and with a 20kg servo she still seems lazy ? Should the Tyres have a foam in them as it could be there's so much Rubber on the Ground.

Are you hoping this rig will float? kinda like the 1:1's do? Then I would try and do a low air pressure in the tire, rather than foam.

And a bit more ! front end and wheel Arches done in Styrofoam, Hinges for doors arrived through the post this morning. Lighter next to wheel for proportion. Thinking this is more 1/6th scale than anything else now ( well at least i can use Action Man Figures now ! ) |

20kg servo should be more than enough to turn stock clod tyres, but you might need to get an BEC to power it properly otherwise it wont be as strong as it says on the box Castle creations CC-BEC is one of the best and also smallest BEC's, but you can get cheaper ones that will do just as well. They are however often bigger, but I dont think space is going to be an issue for you With a stack of spare aluminium and 6 spare clod axles on my shelf, I'll be watching this build closely | |
