Landrover Defender with cold axles http://rctpp.com/bbs/non-cgi/usr/13/13_83_97.jpg http://rctpp.com/bbs/non-cgi/usr/13/13_83_98.jpg Hi All, I am pleased to share my truck here. This is a hi-lift version of the defender with the cold axles installed. The current setting provides plenty of travel for the suspension but the drawback is that the CG is too high. I am waiting for the wheels that provide better traction and wheelbase. |
Crushed any cars lately, lol. It looks good but lower the COG and sacrifice some articulation, it will perform much better. |
Lay your shocks out like this / \ , instead of this \ / . That will lengthen your w.b., & also lower your G.C. & C.O.G.... (you'll still have to lower your body though) Btw: Nice looking body! 8-) |
Finally, a Land Rover clod! Looks good but you need to lower it for a better center of gravity and relocate your battery, possibly to the front axle, to further lower the COG. |
Love the mini Jolly Green Giant. Or is that Bam Bam? |

ok, weve all said it so i think he gets it (lower cog) are those aluminum axle tubes i see? nice truck, wheels dont make much of a difference its tires, i suggest some normal(wide) moabs. |
Play with the links and the shock angles. Its a great start and your axles are killer. Just lower that baby. |
I have changed the landrover body to hummer h2, it becomes a scale rig... http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2.../SANY13351.jpg we had a crawler party recently and you may check it here if interested http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/outside-us/40796-crawler-party-hong-kong.html |
