bearings

There are at least a dozen sites offering bearings for the clod axles. Where is the cheapest, place to buy, but still good bearings?

andrewmp6 07-25-2006 05:27 AM

just look around most have a 20 dollar set and some have a 70 dollar set

For crawling get the cheapest ones. You will never overspin one so what is the point of spending the dough.

For the Pinions

Offroader5 08-09-2006 09:59 AM

There's supposed to be bearings at the pinions?:?:

Another place I found the full 24 set: http://www.bigballbearings.com/ ...just put "clod" into the search box.

Any thing that goes round and round could use a bearing. Not the pinion on the motor, the inputs to the axles.

Offroader5 08-09-2006 11:47 AM

Oh, ok...that's what I thought you meant, but when you said pinions...I thought I might have been missing something.

clods dont have pinions,it takes 6 6-12-4mm and 2 5-8-2.5mm to do a axle and 2 per knuckle so if my math is right it takes 24 bearings.i dont know why they sell 20 when it takes 24 to do the truck?

FrankyRizzo 08-14-2006 11:07 AM
