i went out to my test ground , i added 1oz weight to ea front wheel and is all i can say, the diffrence is unreal, i thought THE CLAW crawled really great but with the added weight it was unbeleivable, i still have to try more weight to see if it will do better but i have to wait for more hi torque servos to come in

Do those lockers come with the chassis? This is the second time I have seen them on this site, but they are not individually listed on CPE's site. They look to be a much cheaper alternative to the $35 RC4WD one peice lockers.

Those aren't our diff lockers, but we're working on a similar design. We're shooting for a price of $35ish for a complete set (enough for two axles).

I have the EVO-16 from CPE, Brett made me a rolling chassis while I was home on R&R from Afghanistan. All I can say is that he is an awesome person with an excellent product. I saw the Claw chassis and was amazed at how it functioned with no shocks, truly an piece of work.

you added 1 oz to each tire and it helped? or did you mean you added 10 oz?

1 oz, to ea wheel, will try add one more see if it helps any more, i think 10 oz would kill the servos

That body looks good, but kind of gets dwarfed by the size of the chassis. The best body we found to use was a Pro-Line Crowd Pleazer 2.0. It's long enough to clear both gearboxes and the wheelbase is reasonably close once the body is trimmed a bit. It would be better if that body was narrower though. This is a photo of our test chassis using the PL body:

Thanks Brett, i like the look of the bronco a little more though , i'am waiting for another f-650 body and there is always the rubicon nip i haven't even touched , i was also looking into the axial bodies.

The F-650 will also fit like the above PL body does, I just don't like how that one looks.

We've been swamped with chassis orders lately and have run out of the Dubro Monster ball ends we use on most of our chassis and link kits. The Claw chassis is not effected as different ends are used on that chassis.

PM me and I can probably help you out though...

Sorry about that, well not really! I prefer the low-slung modern look over most other bodies out there for crawlers. The truck pictured has a 5" center chassis clearance and measures only 9" to the top of the body!

ok so i have driven THE CLAW for a couple of months and the only thing that has broken is the body , i have rolled quite a few times, it has fallen form 25-30ft height at least 4 or 5 times and nothing has bent or broken, i love this chassis it is well built, it crawls really well and the only thing i still have to do is put in the new bl system, 2 outrunners and mambas, i got from holmeshobbies.com, and do a head to head comparison with my other bl rig the PIMP CANE, i will put the motors in today and head out for some rocks tomorrow and will post my results
