Thats no joke. With 55t lathes, 9/8 tooth pinions, and a 8 cell battery I can already get the front to pop off the ground when accelerating. And thats with the majority of the weight over the front axle. Go with a brushless system and gear it high and that thing should fly.

do you think the gears can handel a high speed mamba brushless motor

i was wanting to do this to a truggy but they seem very flimsy and dont handel mambas very well and i see the clod axels are very ruged and look like the can take a beating i am going to make a speed clod and i want to see how fast i can get it to go

Bolt in a pair of nine turn mod motors, and it will haul a$$. Just turn the endbell on the rear motor 180 degrees, so the timing is right. Probably won't get much run time, but it will be fun while the batteries last (or you hit something).

I needed some wheel speed so I wired my EVX up for 14.4 and I GOT IT. For having lathe motors and 9 tooths it hauls balls. It's about as fast as my g/f's nephews stock pede.

Are you on crack? holly chit... I don't think I'd want a truck that would move that fast to turn on a dime... stick with just frong wheel steering... it would be all over the place with 4ws...
As for the gears.. theres no slipper so you better go aluminum.. and some beadlock rims, and glue the tires anyway, and the foams.. and lock tight the wheel nuts on... b/c its going to be stupid fast...

Are you serious? Are you talking from a standing start, or from reverse?

I'm sorry, I just don't see how 4 motors are going to go faster than 2 motors, it might accellerate slightly faster but the top speed is going to be the same. You could have 100 motors and the top speed wouldn't change, also I don't think anyone needs two brushless motors on a clod axle, thats just silly. That's going to be a $2000 undrivable accident waiting to happen. Get a nitro truck if you want speed.

BTW i ran the stock cans with 8.4V with proportional rear steer and you couldn't keep the roof off the ground.
