If all you have (or can afford right now) is stock electronics, you can use them for a little while. It will make you appreciate how much better your crawler can be once you upgrade it! As SOON as you can though, upgrade to an ESC as the gain in performance is dramatic. The Novak Super Rooster and Tekin Rebel 2 are teo good ESC's. People also use the Moped ESC available on Ebay with decent results. |

I just got a rebel 2, and i was wondering if it is ok to wire it up to the stock clod motors, or if i have to go to 55t lathes. I wanted to check before i messed anything up! I hope to go to lathes really soon, but tower is out of 55t and i want to run it! Any help would be appreciated!

The rebel 2 has a 10 turn motor limit... if you run two stock motors in parrallel, you divide the number of turns in half. A stock 540 is somewhere around 27 turns. So 27/2 is 13.5, so you should be fine... Also check the Vendors section for lathe motors. Many vendors to choose from and all have lathes of multiple winds in stock. And they ship faster than Tower too... Last edited by K_B; 08-31-2006 at 05:00 PM. |
