Old config - Tq3 Super Rooster 8 cell packs 2x Airtronics 94359z 55t lathes 8 t pinions new config - DX3 Same super rooster same 8-cell packs same airtronics servos 65t lathes 8t pinions Problems or issues noted: 1. Over all vehicle performance seems weeker. Like there isn't as much battery umph. It might be my imagination but is seems like the battery power is dying faster. 2. Servos - Servos seem to turn slower, not sure if this is the DX3 or not, but they seem slower. 3. For some reason the whole rig will just kinda stall out and become non-responsive a few seconds, almost like the receiver has lost sync with the transmitter. Let off of everything and it's back goes again. 4. I know the 65ts are much slower to than the 55t, but I figured I would have more torque, it seems now if it gets in a bind there just isn't enough power and it doesn't want to rip the wheels off, again is this battery loss somewhere? Thoughts? |

hey there I put 65s in my Clod and they just sucked compared to the 55s. Your servos likely seem slower because you have no wheel speed/spin to help them move. Go back to the 55s. |

65 turns on 8 cells should be great! I'm thinking you may have pack/charger problems. Or possibly some bad, bad wiring? just guesses... |

In my clod I have integy 55t's with a 8cell and in the one I just finished building is running axiom 65t's with a 8cell. Both rigs are identical except for the motors. The 65t drove so much better and once I have some extra cash, I will be swapping the 55t's for 65t's. I would think it is the battery over the motors. |

i have 55 integy on one of my clods, nn chassis, it seems it's slower and has less power then my other clods on 75 axioms ![]() I would have to agree with TxCruzr about the batteries. |

It must be the DX3 I have had the EXACT same thing happen to me. Rig worked pefectly with the TQ3, swiched to the DX3 and It will be just driving along the stop responding. If I pick it up it instantly begins to work again. I am going to re-bind the tx to the rx and see if that helps. The really strange part is, I took the DX3 out to try out the clod mod TQ3. the rig worked perfectly with the DX3 in it before the TQ3. Now it does this and NOTHING was changed except the tx's and rx's. |

I re-synched the DX3 to the receiver so we'll see if that fixs the momentary drop out. But I think you guys nailed it, I think I have a weak cell in two of my batteries. I put my top quality packs on and it seems way better, I'll confirm tomorrow during my next run at lunch in the drainage ditch.

Just posting my results. It WAS a battery issue. The DX3 tripped up once, so I am going to swap the receiver for the other one and see how it does.

don't know if this will help but I have the Dx3 and I use it with my crawler and no issues but with my brushless T4 I would lose control all the time until I was told my my LHS that the DX3 receivers are sensitive to voltage drops.. I had to put the optional cap from spektrum on my receiver then all my problems were gone. It was because the receiver would shut off and restart when the ESC and motor pull too much current from the pack..

I was just going to post about the voltage drop thing. Likely there's a voltage drop sending the DX3 into fail safe mode which is probably set for everything goes to zero. For a long time people told me batteries can take all kinds of punishment, and now I disagree. They're pretty fragile, and when abused, one will pop. It's happen to me quite a few times. So, yeah... batteries. |

I think it is for sure the voltage drop deal. I picked up one hose capacitors. My LHS said it's a common problem. Not sure if Spektrum will replace the receivers, anyone know?
