I had a ripper, it is great for racing. But for crawling I thought that it was slung to low in the center, great center of gravity, but would high center, with a little work it would be good. That is just what I think. And BTW it is spelled TECH! |

There is a Ripper in the crawling video that rc4wd.com selling. It seems to do OK. I have one. It has good It has good articulation. But the center of the chassis is very low. So it is pretty much what Nitro said. Highcentering would be the only problem. |

Search newbie ;) http://www.rccrawler.com/postt3053.html Its a racing chassis, definetely NOT a crawler. I mean, I guess you could crawl it, but its definetely not made to do it. Is this "the" camo? |

I built the ripper in the RC4WD vid. It works ok, but it doesen't hold a candle to what these guys here have done. In the few months I have been away, so much has changed in the RC crawling world that it makes my head is spin. If you got a line on one for cheap, it would be a good start. If you are considering a new one, don't. There are a few guys on this board selling chassis that will leave a ripper at the first obstacle. Time to start over for me. Oh well at least I have a bunch of good parts to start with. Is this Camo? Speak newb. |

Before you purchase the gecko chassis take a look at the building a clod thread under clod buster forum. Kevin has done a great job posting the manufactures and chassis for rock crawling clods. |
