So, Ive been posting on here for a bit on everybody elses rigs and such, so, I decided that it it time to build another clod based monster. This time tho... its for my daughter Bella. Its gonna be for her 10th b-day. She sees the rigs I have and keeps bugging me to build her a monster truck..... I did some dealing on the classifieds here and got a clod roller that just happen to have my favorite clod tires on that have been discontinued for years... ![]() ![]() Im gonna build it on a budget and keep her rig "stock", except Im gonna make my own 4 links, stretch it some, and of course.... MORE POWER!!!!! Here is the build list of parts that I am going to use..... Clod axles w/ brearings 4 wheel steering upper 4link mount stock clod chassis w/multi link mods adjustable motor mounts AE2 esc HH torque master sport 27t motors axial shocks Hitec 645 steering servos I will post up pics as parts come in, as for now.... I have the esc and the shocks. I also want to see how much of this I can build by getting parts from the classifieds here.... Gotta lover bartering and used stuff! ![]() |

Lol, I'm waiting for all of the parts to get here. The primary rolling chassis and the "other" axles should be here in a couple of days..... ![]() Actually..... Pics will be posted on Monday cuz I leave for easter jeep safari at Moab later today and I won't be back til Sunday night, so, I will actually have my hands on all of the parts on Monday. Its cool that I have at least 1 other interested in this build. ![]() |

Ok. So, I've had the parts for a week now and I finally got to clean up the roller some, got is assembled, did the single shock mod and getting the steering links on..... The adapters I needed to fit the axial beadlocks that were on my e-revo and that my daughter is in love with came in today too. So.... I figured it was time to take some pics and show some actual progress..... Here it is assembled for the most part..... ![]() Here is the 17mm HR clod adapters..... ![]() And here are the new wheels and a comparison from old to new width..... ![]() ![]() ![]() I really like the new stance..... |
