Glad you found a better front steering link, max clearance and cool factor right there. What did you do for ESC's? Just a single with fulltime 4WD? The truck looks awesome, completed. Oh, where are my "taller cougars"? Those were hawt, as in go ahead and throw them in a fire. |

Once I took possession of this little rig it was too cool to leave circa 2009. So I created a set a smashed Castle Sidewinder Micro esc's, Castle BEC, Holmes Hobbies donated 35T expert crawlmaster motors, I swapped out the links to Lunsford Titanium uppers and I bent the lowers myself. It runs on 3S Lipo and everything fits in the chassis skid. The truck sits mid travel and is a bit of a belly dragger on the rocks. The clod axle gearing is atrocious for crawling, even with 6 tooth pinions. I suppose 55t motors probably would have been better for crawling. The large diff pumpkin is a major obstacle. It really makes you appreciate the modern day MOA axles. Even with its flaws, it's fun to drive :-D It's nice having a small piece of RCC history here in the CI garage. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

I am using the Futaba 4PK so this rig has the full capability of a current 2.2 Pro MOA. I'm glad I am, because the rear motor needs to be dialed down, since the front motor has to turn the weighted VP DH wheels. As for the cougars, they are currently mounted up on TXT Super that is sitting on the shelf waiting for it's turn to get on the bench. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... | |

i built mine at the very beginning when the kits were first available.Never had any problems with it except for gearing, finally I switch it over to overdrive underdrive and that cure the gearing problem.I'll see if I can post pics tonight.

What a sweet truck! How much those axle tube/axle run by chance? My .02 it needs clod wheels (RC4WD bead locks?)

The display case that this crawler was housed in was moved and repurposed. It made for a good opportunity to put it in the photo booth for some current pictures; ...uploaded from the lab at the C.I. compound... |

This rig is headed to a new shelf to be displayed on and before it left it felt only proper to document its story. Link to video here on RCC: Crawler Innovations You Tube Channel |
