| idk if it's the stance or the body or the combination of everything but that thing's really cool. i like the way you used the stock chassis and made it into a real truck. how are those 550's working out for you? |

Thanks guys! It really means something getting good words form guys who have seen/own some really crazy trucks! I love that body. The maxx bumpers are probaly comming off though, or getting trimmed...they rub. The 550's are great. I dont think i will ever change them out. Even w/ the stock gearing they can get the tires turning with athourity. They can push the 12lb(RTR) rig to a quick enough pace to be fun as well. Granted I am running 14 cells ('bout 20v peaked), and the runtimes are still plenty long. Not to mention they are cheap! Its just fun being big for once, it takes 2+ of any of my other RC's (all Tamiya) to equal the weight of this thing. Tony |

i'd say if you wanted to use bumpers on it for a scale look, go with savage bumpers. much more scale, and the shape of them may not cause rubbing.

Im probaly just going to trim the bottom 'bar' off them. Im not really going for any scale-ness, just I had to totally hack the 'bumpers' off the body, and it looks kinda funny w/ out them IMO. I should have some crawling pics this weekend, might be going out w/ RD400 and the rest of the Omaha gang. |

I like this http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...d/IMAG0108.jpg Looks very nice even with the stock wheels . You say 14 cells , It must really move. I bet it looks really nice flying around a dirt track. |

thanks man! Thoes are actually TXT wheels/tires, but same diffrence, just slightly diffrent offset (a little narrower overall track). Ive got a videos of it doing cookies in the parking lot in front of my apartment. They were taken with my camera phone, so dont expect the best quality ever. They have sound but apparently only in quicktime... http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d122/Deo...Clodcookie1.flv http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d122/Deo...clodcookie2.flv http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d122/Deo...okieandroll.flv http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d122/Deo...cookieshort.flv Locker in the rear, and open front diff Demon Last edited by Demon Dag; 10-18-2006 at 02:57 PM. |
