Good news and bad news.....

Good news is that I got all the wheels/tires done. The fronts have 4oz of weight and the rear have 2oz.
Dyed the wheels black and narrowed them to 2".

The bad news is as I was screwing on the last tire the nut never really got tight and it ripped the threads right off the stub So now I have to find a new stub shaft (anyone have a extra??)

Well last night it finally hit me, why not just weld the shaft back together? Well I went out and welded it up. I didnt expect to even be able to bolt on the tire but it WORKS!!! I have been beating on it all day today and its held up.
The chasis is really starting to break in, im starting to get some good flex out of it.

Well got some carnage after the first real time crawling with it.
Stripped out a few teeth on BOTH front and rear servos. I just pulled them apart and spun the gear 180 so it is on the good teeth.
Will hopefully get me buy until I can afford something better.

I could barely turn before so I splurged and got a pair of 5955's.
They are crazy strong.

I also killed my body today trying to climb a damn 8' wall.

After the wall.....

So today I finally got a new body. Its a 72' Chevy C10 shortbed.
I spent most of the afternoon trimming/painting it.
I think it came out ok, not perfect but alot better then what I had before

I tried to keep most of the grill, mainly just the Chevy emblem.

The rear...

It was a 2000 body style chevy silverado. I wish they still made it, I hate the new body style ones.

Ow and I did this yesterday
looks like the pin that is pressed into the inner shaft slipped out wedging the axle shaft then when I went to turn the 5955 just had its way with the plastic stuff.

SOOO I have some CVD's on the way as well as new axle tubes and axle cases (mine are pretty trashed).

Well I went ahead and built some knuckle packs. 3 3900mah Sub Cs under each front knuckle. I used Dean's 12g wire for all of it.
It took me awhile to figure out how to attatch them to the knuckles since the aluminum ones are nothing like the stockers. So I went to HD and got some 1" PVC, I then used 4 screws to hold it to the knuckles. It works like a champ!!
I could not BELIEVE what a difference it made. I have a rock ledge in front of my house, before I would roll everytime.I just went out there and it walked up it the first try I was AMAZED!!
Anyways heres some pictures.
