Great stuff...loadsa info here...and i still need more
Hi guys...
can someone here let me know how to narrow the width of the stock Clod axles to allow 2.2 8shooter beadlocks please, they do fit but they sit too far out from the hub.. basicly my build in Mud bogger/crawler using clod axles (which will change title soon i hope to CLOD ADVENTURE TRAILS BUILD) and need some help as cant afford to buy a different set of wheels & tyres again...did i buy the wrong set..not sure if there narrow set or wide set....is there some way of cutting the thub and adapting the shaft..anything to try get the width 5cm or more in from original hex nut, so that the back of the wheel is closer to the hub support screw top and bottom...

take a look at my pic in the thread mud bogger please..

Stock Clod wheels are 2.6" in diameter. If you want to use 40 series tires you will also need to purchase 40 series wheels. If the wheels you choose have anything other than a 12mm hex, you'll also need an adapter to fit the wheel to the Clodbuster axle. Good Luck!

Since 40 series tires are really more of a crawling tire than a monster truck tire, we sell aftermarket monster truck tires. Plus pretty much anything for a Clodbuster.

I'm building custom axles for a crawler project and I would like to use super clod gears. Does anybody have specs and dimensions for the gears?

# of teeth on each gear
bore diameters
gear pitch
gear thickness

Any help would be appreciated.
-Thanks!

I have a bag of spare gears and took the liberty to help a fellow member.
The digital caliper is set to (In.)

I think the pitch is 32 but if im wrong someone can correct me on this?

40T Diff spur gear BG2 (x2)

15T Large bevel gear BG3 (x4)

8T Small bevel gear BG1 (x6)

15T/50T counter gear BG4 (x2)

15T/44T counter gear BG5 (x2)

(again this is set to (In.) on the Digital caliper)

BG5
0.261
1.014

BG4
0.255
0.615

BG2
0.465

BG3
0.319

BG1
0.263

Hi all!

I got an Axial AX24003 540 20T motor and wonder if it can be used backwards?
I was thinking of put it in my Clodbuster as I want more speed in it!
Clodbuster got two motors with one going backwards.
So, would it work?

Yes, just reverse the wires one on of the motor and you're good to go. Just make sure your esc can handle lower turns motors.
