Default monster gt crawler

has anyone trie to make a custom crawler out of clod axles and a mgt chassie? Just wondering because ive started one and looking for some hints, im using all the stock links off the mgt because I have 3 of them and lots of spare parts. ive got one axle mounted and im sure it will work just need a little help.

this should be in newbie general or general crawlers. anyway i dont know why you'd want to use one when you can get so much more performance out of a 4 link or stick or torsion chassis

im just going to chop up the chassie and use clod axles . Ive got a four link settup hooked up right now

Have you thought about locking the axles and putting a 4 link on it?
I have a monster gt and thinking about that myself.
I plan to lock the axles and do it almost just like the emaxx ones.
I figure with the lower gearing in the diffs. I should get less torque to
chassis. I have not figured out all the details yet.

Sounds like a plan to me. I do plan to do mine. I was thinking of a savage trans with the auto trans to. Use the mechincal brake on it. Hook up a 6 channel radio.
reverse
rear steer
front steer
esc
brake
all on different channels for maxximum control.
