What motors?
 

I have a 4-linked clod 2 75t lathes running on 7.2v. Sometimes it seems like the motors are way under powered because they stall very easily if i get into any akward position. Ive heard people say that the 55t and 65t motors are way more powerful and preform better overall so i need some input on what motors i should use. I want some wheelspeed for the snow but i also want enough torque to get me out of the tricky spots.

P.S. im working on getting an EVX and im going to run 14.4v and that should help with the wheelspeed problem but any imput is welcome.

Either add one or two cells. Or go to a 65t or 55t. Nut even then your nees to add cells. What gearing are you using?

i have had 55t, 65t integy's on my rig, but then switched to 75t axioms, and the difference in power was noticeable, also the smooth response of the axioms was awesome, i was running 9 tooth and moab xl on one and 8 tooth and mashers on the other, and i never got into a bind where i would have them stall, although if you want some more wheelspeed you could bump it one cell or two if your esc can handle it.

i run evx for now got another one in process of putting it on there also. currently running 14.4 with 2 55 turn axle snappers, 8 tooths. 5 pole motors. real slow and torquey with 7.2v. had to go to 14.4 to get some wheel speed.

Im going to wait and see what difference the 14.4v makes compared to the 7.2v, then ill make a decision as to whether or not to keep my motors or buy new ones. Im running 13t pinions because i dont have the adjustable motor mounts.

I would run the 55 turn axiom motors I think they are better than Integy

I installed 35 turn Integy's in my Clod, are they too high rpm'd for a good crawling motor?
I have one LRP Truck Puller 2 motor in my Tamiya Pajero and might buy another to put both motors in my Clod. Is that a better combo?

Try the 65t Axiom motors.

I tried a 75 turn integy motor in my tlt once and it just didn't have any power. I also tried 65 and 55 turn integy's. Once I tried axioms there was no turning back. They are much better and more powerful. I've got 75 turn axioms coming for my gmade spider now.
