I'm not anti comp I just think the rigs looked cooler when they still had a scale-ish appearance.

Pretty sure Grizz would agree with you. I don't disagree, but I understand the evolution of it all. It was bound to happen.

Nobody's stopping you from comping a clod, maybe do that instead of whining.

I'm not whining. I was just stating that rigs like The Duke look cooler then the comp rigs now. IMO.

It's evolution, rigs that look like this are not capable of the things newer comp rigs are. I suppose some wish we were still monkeys too.

Some of you are. Jeremy needs to not post in my threads anymore and you need to quit nut-swinging in with him. Thanks.

I totally agree adam. I am not against comps, I wish they were growing in popularity, I just don't like the rigs anymore.

As a former 2.2 comp Clod guy, I have to agree with Grizz and Adam, the older rigs look cooler.

I have a few sets of clod axles at home and have been trying to figure out what to do with them. Browsing these threads have given me some good ideas.

We need a clod class lol

I still have several sets of Clod axles and mini-clods axle kits I have thought about dusting off. My 2.2 class mini-clod is still mostly intact and I still have a Clod super sitting on the shelf also.
It's too bad the Clods suffer from that huge gear that kills ground clearance.

I got a mostly stock set and another set with aluminum tubes
And knuckles TTR CVD's and steel gears. I also have a super pimp cane and a new era tube crawling chassis that weighs dang near 4 lbs. by itself.

You know, with a longer tube for the mini clod, you could run XR universals and some 2.2 Pit bulls and the ground clearance wouldn't be so bad...

And I've been holding on to a Mini Clod kit forever. You build one, and I'll match it

I'm hoping to find a set of portals to help with ground clearance.

I won a set of aluminum knuckles and main gears at a raffle years ago. I never put them in because I never had problems with them really, but I should do something with them.

I have a Boyer chassis that would like to be a 2.2 Clod......

I've thought about the longer tubes after doing the XR mod to Guido. Neil made about 15 sets of Mini-Clod conversions for me but I figured they were obsolete once the XR-10 was available.
I suppose if the PitBulls are bigger than what most guys run it might make up for the ground clearance. I'd love to see you run one, but I've got a Wraith and an SCX10 Jeep I've got to get together and running first.

I've never seen those mini clod axle sets. They look sweet.

The only reason I'm running steel gears is because they came with the axles. I have a pair of Holmes hobbies out runners that I would love to put to use also.

I wanted a set of mini clod parts forever ago but I think there was a problem in production so I jump ship to the mainstream moa stuff. I still have more love for my clod than any of the trucks I have had in the past.
