Default Rc4wd Gear Reduction Problems

I Have Tested My New Super Rig And 5 Out Of 6 Times My 2.2/1 Reductions Have Come Apart. I Have Never Been Able To Fully Tighten Them Down Without It Binding The Bearings On The Shaft.

Also All Three Pinions Come Loose Within 10-15 Minutes Both Front And Rear. I Have Used Thread Lock To No Avail.

Are These Things Junk Or Is It Me.

i had the same problems there is a small 1/4" spacer that comes in the kit grind it down (a little at a time) until you get the screws at tight as possible. don't grind to much only until the two housings become flush when tightened to much and crack the housing. hope this helps just trying to make your job easier mike (rcwd)

I Did This. It Helps, But It Didnt Fix It. I Was Afraid To Take It Down To Much.

my 2:1 gear reduction does the same thing, I have to leave them a little bit loose or they bind.

Anybody who has problem, make sure email us.

We plan to make some minor changes to the design and material, but it wont happen until 2-3 weeks from now.
