Default Broken? clod axle.

My truck was working fine last time I used it. Today the front axle wont spin. I have stripped it all down and the parts shown in the pictures will not rotate.

These are parts of a thundertech CVD. Does anyone have any idea how to make it work.

I have tried to turn it with a pair of grips but it will not move.

To me it sounds like the bearings are giving you the issues. Will the axle not rotate or is it the knuckle won't turn?

I'm going to go with the pin slipped out and is jammed in the knuckle.
Did you put it together? Do you recall using loctite on the set screw?

Hi Run2

thanks for the reply. It is the actual axle that will not turn. I have just inspected again and noticed something shiney in the hole that secures the screw that fastens through the knuckle. Inside there was a small pin that secures itself within the CVD. This small pin had "fallen"out of its hole and wedgein the hole that the knuckle screw is installed in. This acted as a wedge and stopped the axle turning.

This small metal pin sits inside a plastic fitting. Can I use threadlock to secure it?

Hi Unholy.

You where right. I did not put the axles together. I bought the truck from Syco and it was already constructed
Looks like loctite will be installed tonight.

Thanks

There is a set screw that secures the pin.

That's what you loctite.
