Got my a clod!

I know, no pics yet, but will have some up later tonight...it is setup (at the moment) for 2.2 class. It also has rear steer. I plan on doing to front dig mod, does anyone know if A 3 channel radio can operate the rear steer independently, and operate the front dig?

clodstall 01-10-2007 10:28 AM

hurry up with the pics. not sure about the whole 3 channel working 4 things will work or not. im sure someone has done it though. good luck with that.

Whats the specs? Chassis, Electronics, and such....Man you left us all hanging. No Pic's, No Specs, No Future Plans, Nothing....:)

Unholy 01-10-2007 11:09 AM

If it has rear steer, it is not setup for 2.2 class.

just saying...

run2jeepn 01-10-2007 11:25 AM

You can't have Rear Steer in 2.2 and Use it....Also Far as I know with a 3 Channel Radio you have to run a Y-Harness if you do Digs also.

Kamikaze 01-10-2007 11:35 AM

You can't run an esc, a front servo, a read servo, and dig with a 3 channel. IMO for 2.2 you need dig over rear steer.

Sorry guys, My future plans are to probably make it into a super, and maybe get a tuber for it. I was at school, and was trying to hurry with it...Sorry, here are the pics

I don't know much about the clods at the moment, but plan to know more and more about them, as I go on...It only has 2 channel gear right now. I would like to maybe get rid of the Giant tracs, and get some Moab XL's

Going Up! 01-12-2007 11:08 AM

Well, last night I stretched the WB, out to around 14 something...By switching the links. Pain in the ***! I wil post some pics tonight. I got a lot more flex by doing that, I also cut the back tailgate off of the ford courier body. I went down to my LHS, and bought a charger, dodge ram body, and some adapters for my battery.

Ok, guys, I figured out how to post pics... Tell me what you think!"thumbsup"

Got Rocks? 01-13-2007 12:35 AM

uhhhhh you now need to make longer uppers

LumTheMad 01-13-2007 05:17 AM

Yeah, longer uppers. Your steering is a little weird now cause the caster angle is way off and the motors will drag on everything. Good start though.

Going Up! 01-13-2007 09:09 PM

Yeah, I realized that the motors were draging today...After work, I was playing on some rocks, and the rear motor's wires ripped right off... Just where the soldering was, anyway. I need to figure out how to make some links.... So, you think I could make the 3 channel radio work, if I got a Y harness?

mjh 01-13-2007 09:53 PM

I like it keep up the good work
The boys will steer you in the right derection"thumbsup"

clodstall 01-13-2007 09:54 PM

I need to figure out how to make some links....
pretty easy. 6/32 all thread 1/4 brake line, and long traxxas ball ends.
looking good other than top links.

eric113 01-14-2007 10:03 AM

First try to move your upper links to last hole, if the axles still point down then make new ones.

4link4eva 01-14-2007 10:33 AM

Personally, I would shorten the lowers. The wheelbase looks a little long anyway, and you don't need any more material.

Going Up! 01-14-2007 04:22 PM

yeah, I may do that...But I am wanting to eventually run moab xl's, and possibly build a tuber. I think I may just trim down the bottom links, for now.
