Default Pimp Cane Clod - Completed

I just built this today. I had some of the parts but was waiting for the rest of them. Im running 45 turn lathe motors, Super Rooster ESC, Hitec 645MG servos, Axial beadlocks w/ Moabs w/ no foams, RC Guy servo mount and steering kit, Bender 12 to 17mm adaptors, and its running off a DX6. It has a 17 inch wheelbase and 5 1/2" of center clearance.

I just got the radio today and im impressed. There seems to be alot it can do. Im not used to the throttle stick "ratcheting" yet but overtime I will get used to it. I know there is a way to get rid of that but i dont mind it. I have it set up so I can control front and rear steering independently and then with a flick of a switch they work together I plan on adding rear dig to it sometime also. I messed with it for a few minutes with an almost dead battery and it was pretty cool. I should have some video up soon.

Looks good, I would upgrade that servo ASAP.

Try the Tower Pro MG 955.

I only really need widners for it...other than that I like it. I will probably add some stick on weights to the rims...how much extra weight are all of you running front and rear?

I also plan on doing a front dig today. Just got to find a place to get a switch.

you wont be able to lock the rear with only a switck on a super, the wheels have to much leverage and will roll. Having it shut down is still a big help, I dont have a locked up rear axle on any of my dig set ups and it has its advantages

I had those same servos on my first 2 clods an moabs xl, they were replaced a month later by tower pro's, they just don't have enough torque, they are now serving duties on my 4 tlt's

Its not bad actually. I put 6 ounces of stick on weights in each front rim. I can have the truck up at almost vertical before it wants to tip. If i do the switch so only the fronts get power then that would help a bit i think. Its raining now so i hope its clear for tomorrow.

If you don't want to change wheels or mount your battery up on top of the backbone. Get you a custom battery pack made by cheapbatterypacks.com...only $23 bucks...If you get RC4WD axle stays you can fit four 2/3 A under the brace lowing your battery over 1in lower. Just use a large zip tie to keep them in place.

It looks good, I would rethink the esc mounting location though, lookes like it will take a beating in the event of a backwards flop.

Ya I noticed that also...Move it to the side of the backbone. Just above the front motor.
