Well today when i got home there was the final piece of my build in the mail box my wheel adapters. With the adapters here it allowed me to put my new cells on the knuckles and make a rats nest of wire to finish my build. Here are a few pics of the cells on the knuckles and the mess of wireing. I went with a seven cell setup and boy did it really come alive i was surprised with the wheel speed it gained with just one more cell. The only thing that i see that i might change is the moped esc's i can not stand the reverse delay. Here are a few pics from my first run with the axial beadlocks and a battery pack zip tied on the chassis.I can not wait to get it out tommorow and see how well it does with the lower center of gravity i gained with the new battery setup i was amazed with how well it worked even with the high cog. |

Well i have already had a esc failure and i striped a TTR diff locker in the rear. So to fix the problem i went ahead and ordered 2 mamba max esc'c,and a set of alum.diff lockers. So i guess when i get that stuff installed i can find the next week link. As far as the the rest of the setup goes i am verry pleased the only other thing i am going to change is the servos.I think i am going to go to 1/4 scale servos.I would go to robitics servos but my radio does not have endpoint adjustments. The wheels and tires work very well and the chassis is awsome.I finally got my weight setup right and this thing would go like hell.I do not think you could ask for a better chassis setup than the pimp cane.It is a little weird to get use to not having shocks to coushion hard bounces but the tires seem to take 90% of the shock. All in all i am happy actually very happy and as soon as i get my esc, locker, and servo's here i will get some good pics and video . |

Well I am getting really tired of people slapping a peice of aluminum between two axles and calling it a legal chassis. They should be banned or given there own class, hey lets start a pole about it so we can have an inteligent discussion without flaming......OK |

The Tower Pro servo's can handle up to 7.2v for well over 200oz...That might be worth a shot. Well there website says it's rated up to 7.2v...But 1/4 scale servo's are the best bang for the buck. But hard to fit sometime. I just went with Hitecs TG's...over 400oz of torque, but also cost $115..

The day they are ilegal i will become a outlaw. What am i talking about i have never even competed in a comp.(At least not yet.)This is my first piece of aluminum slaped betwen two axles i have ever had and boy can i see why somany people are scared of them.I mean there is no cool link bars,or shocks,or a big heavy tube chassis stuck up in the air so why should they be legal. |

That did sound a little strange. I think the two rigs will be a close match. After i added 5 sub c cells to the rear axle for the reciver pack i think i am catching up with you on weight.I will see if i can get some pics up later. I recived my cvd's for the rear axle today so whenever the 2 mamba max esc's,and new lockers show up i will be back in busness.Maybe we can gtg. next weekend and run for a while. |
