Default My Clods

My Son and I have revived both of my old clod crawlers... Didn't realize how much fun they are... I was recently thinking about Selling one to fund a 2.2 build, however after using them the last few weeks they will be hard to give up!

We have some big boulder fields in my woods, where wheelbase is your friend. The 2.2 stuff seems like I'm playing with matchbox cars....

They are sweet! I like the one that is extended with the stock body.

Thanks A Bunch!! Originally built on extra parts I had laying around some 10ish years ago... Today It is one of my favorite RC's. I am really wanting to build a Wraith or Yeti now, most Likely a Wraith as I love the solid axle's.

The Bomber is way more fun than a Wraith in my opinion. I can't explain why. I have both. I never drive my wraith. I just bought a Bomber and while I've only driven it a few times in my backyard I think it's what a Wraith should have been. It handles better overall. And the Bomber kit (not RTR) is the most well-equipped Axial kit available. It comes with so many upgrades (steering universals, aluminum links, all metal gears, etc).

This morning I was messing around in the shop, finally got the Dual ESC Mixing nailed down. I cant believe the amount of power the Clod gearboxes are handling.

Gonna order a new body for "clod 2" having trouble finding something I like...

I know. It sounds odd since you'd think the Bomber and Wraith would be pretty similar. But in my experience they're not and I know I'm not alone in my thinking that the Bomber is more fun. Just do your research before you buy.

I didn't even have any interest in the Bomber until I got my SMT10 and I had so much fun jumping it, but also found it was crawl surprisingly well in my backyard despite the open diffs.

Where in PA area you located?

I'm in bucks county..... I have a good mix of trail in my back yard, resurrected my summit as well, so that initially got me thinking about something I can bash and crawl with...
