Default My Clod crawler build up...

I'm using a New Era tube chassis, only because I have it. I know its not gonna be the best for a crawler as its designed to be more of a 'scale' monster truck, but I'm gonna see how it works for now... I have Integy 55t motors, 9 tooth pinions, diff lockers, ect...
So far this is what I have mocked up, still waiting on some parts and the time to build...

The built truck is about 13.5"wb, it's a speedy fun basher truck, the new crawler is about 16"wb. I will be using the tires and narrowed rims on the built truck for the crawler...

thanks for looking and any feedback is welcome

thanks guys.

the lower links are about 6" long...
are you talking about the shock mounts on the lower link bars? if they don't hold up I'll do something different... a bag of 12 was a dollar...

this truck will look similar to the other one I have built, but with a 3" longer wheel base and setup more for crawling instead of going fast and jumping stuff...

Thanks.
the chassis is built fairly well, it is welded cromolly so its fairly heavy too... makes for a real good mini/scale monster truck replica...

it's pretty symmetrical but not perfect... the mounting points for the 4 link and the shocks are just slightly off from side to side, but not enough to make a difference in how the truck works or looks...

I have made more progress on my truck, click the link to see the pictures...
http://www.geocities.com/rcktpwrd/ClodCrawler.html

I got the upper links made, installed the G-Made upper link mounts, installed my new servo I got from run2jeepn and made the steering linkage. I still have to wire the electronics, but it's almost there...

Looks like ya need to move the chassis over to the right some... Make the left side links a bit longer and, if ya can, the right side shorter to center the chassis in the wheels...

Other than that, looks good... That looks like a proper monster truck than what's called monster trucks these days...

ya, I noticed that it was off center in the pics as well, but I have to redo most of the nuts and bolts anyway so I will adjust it then... I haven't put locknuts on anything yet... just trying to get it all mocked up and sorted out...

Use shaft collars on both sides the shock mounts for stops and leave the shock mounts loose and you'll be fine.
