Default What ESC for Dual Motors

Hello,
I did a search for dual motor esc and clod esc and did not come up with much.

I am trying to find a relatively cheap ESC to use on a Clod crawler. 55t motors. Is the Traxxas the only way to go ? Or would it be better to run 2 ESCs ? If so how would I set up 2 of them ?

Thanks

Are you running four wheel steering or just the front?

for two 55t motors you need an esc that can handle a 27.5 turn motor, so most esc's will work.
the next issue is the bec power, which is why run2jeepn is asking about servos...

i have the holmes hobbies esc using 55 turn motors and dual steering and it really works great. it was just over 100 shipped and its water proof. it can also handle up to 6s lipos.

I also have a clod and am in need of a new esc. Mine is not a crawler but has a racing chassis and will be used as a basher. would the holmes hobbies esc still be good for this also? I am assuming the esc your refering to is the torquemaster BR-XL?

im running 2 traxxas xl5 esc in mine. partially because i already had them, but they are also fairly inexpensive to replace them (they were the cheapest brushed esc at the lhs)
