One of the best esc's out there that will not break the bank is the SEARCH esc

or a custom 12 cell pack....but yes if you want to buy off the shelf batteries, you'd have to run dual 6 cell stick packs just like they do in the e-maxx

Get a EXV. It will work fine, then look on the home under the TECH button. twistedcreations has a write up on how to mod a EXV.
Thats what I run on mine.

x2 on the EVX... I got one, single pack modded, and it don't complain about having one motor turned off when I use my D.U.D. system, too...

Is this for a crawling clod or just a basher? If it has 55t motors then you can use any ESC with a 27t motor limit. If it has stock motors then you need an ESC with a 13t motor limit. Basically, find out how many turns your motors have, then halve it to find what motor limit you need on your ESC.
