| Spider II gearbox damage
After the previous crawler meeting, I disassembly front and real axes for checking. I discover that the 3rd gear shaft support was broken in the rear axis I think the 3rd gear shaft support (both upper and lower) is too weak and cannot to sustain the tensile force during crawling Does anyone have the same problem? And have any solutions? Last edited by =WTF=; 03-21-2007 at 10:51 PM. |

a shame they make a crawler axle with what looks to be a major flaw. that bearing support should have way more plastic around it.

you could try filling in the void around the support with JBweld? |

i was thinking that too, but i'd be kinda ticked buying crawler axles and finding out they have a considerable weak spot. sounds like its time to switch to clod axles |
