| My new rig is done. Here are some pics of my finished rig. Turned out pretty well, so far I am happy with it. It definitely handles better than my TXT.... really got tired of the torque twist. This is a torsion chassis (I won't call it a pimp cane as I didn't buy the official one) It has Maximizer 3.2" bead locks, imex swamp dawg soft compound tires, 1/4 scale servos on their own 5 cell pack, Integy 55t motors, 9t pinion in rear, 10t pinion in front, plexi motor mounts, custom 8 cell split battery, 16.5 inch wheelbase. Yes the body sits a little higher due to the way I mounted it to the chassis, however, I feel it is a little more realistic and the way it is done, the truck will still stand flat on its side so the balance is not affected. Thanks for checking it out. |

I like it, i really like the BTA on both axles, very nice indeed, i keep seeing jeep bodies and its strating to rub off, i migbht just have to build another rig just to put a jeep bod on it, i like the look alot.

Thanks for the complements. As for the servos, you can see them on the Drivers side of the truck. In fact, you can't miss them. They were so big, it took quite a bit of thought and metal work to fit them correctly.

I've only done indoor climbing thus far, and rocked it back to where the wires on the rear motor hit the ground pulling one loose. I can see where a shield or skid would be useful back there... other than that, nothing else has come up. There is no rubbing on the body and overall, I am very impressed with the design and capability it has. Of course, I am not taking credit for the design as everything on it was found on this site... except the 1/4 scale servo mounts and the body mount. If everything is done as explained, You can have a pretty awsome rig.

I am in Tucson. You're right, lots of rocks and mountain ranges. I am getting ready to purchase some boulders for my font and back yard. In the mean time, AZcats1 and I will be bashin around the natural stuff. Thanks for all the complements!

| Dang I hate you guys. Hopefully the Air Force sends me back to Tucson. Then I would come and kick it with you guys. Go up to Sabino Canyon or down to Douglas. Do Cats Back Mountain or A mountain. There are sooooo many places to chose from. Of course Mount Lemon but that's have to be an all day trip. I'm making myself home sick. I haven't received any orders yet so I'm leaving overseas. Change of the Guard here. I went to Pueblo so you know I'm hardcore!!!

You are welcome to kick it with us anytime. I for one, appreciate you and what you do for us here back in the US. If it weren't for guys like you, we wouldn't have the freedom to worry about petty things like Remote control trucks! Keep in touch. |

Very nice. Those servo mounts are pretty trick. The servos are monsterous - I take it it steers pretty well?

It steers very well...I notice a little lag on hard surfaces due to the diffs being locked but nowhere else. The only other drawback is that I need to run a seperate pack as they will drain even my 8 cell main quickly. I hope to have it out soon on some real rocks.

What is torque twist? Is that when you wheely? I think it's the nicest Pimp Cane I've seen so far (I haven't seen many though). Nice photos. |
