Default pinion question

Right now I have integy 55t lathe motors on my clod with stock pinion gears and 40 series moabs. The wheelspeed is great but the gearing is way too high. I don't know which pinion to get.

Should I get 6,7,8, or 9 tooth pinions?

well its mainly trial and error just keep in mind the smaller the pinion the slower it will go!

I really don't care about wheelspeed. I just want to have lower gearing so the clod stall isn't so friggin bad.

Wait for the Run2jeepin's aluminum knuckles that allow you to mount your batteries on them!

Stall is where the rearward motor up and stops 'cos of too much load on it... Different motors will stall at different rates... My stock Mab's stall rather fast at low throttle.... And I say rearward 'cos if yer crawlin' in reverse, your front motor can stall out, too, if it's the lower one...

11.1V LiPo pack would help a LOT with stall.. Buddy in my group runs 11.1V, 55's and 8t pinions... All day Sunday, I NEVER saw him stall his rearward motor ONCE... We were talkin' about it and he tried to make it stall with no success... That's a good sign I'd say...
