There is an eclip on the inside of the axle shaft...
How are you expecting to get it out without opening the gear case?

It's really no big deal to open up...

I got the gear case opened just enough to pop the e clip off, but I guess I was sloppy with the weld without knowing, and now it is all screwed up and stuck together. the last thing I want to do is buy a new complete gear case and axle. Has anyone ever tries simply green, and I read that someone had used gasoline. were these any good?

replace the hex and be more careful with the JB weld next time. either way, if you had waited for the JB weld to fully cure then you probably wouldnt have been able to get the axle in the hex.
if simple green does then JB weld is crap and if gas does then a buddy of mine has quite a few MC tanks coming back to him that he's patched with JB.

Default Finally

I was sitting at work and managed to pry the case apart with out damaging it. after a little elbow grease, I finally managed to get the axles and hexes out of the diff gear. only have one bent axle and two good spares at home. Hope this never happens again.
