Default Clod and bmv2 chassis?

Has anyone ever tried building a clod with something like a BMV2 chassis?

Thought about building a pimp cane type chassis, but the only material I could find to make something similar to that is aluminum. Well its cheap, but won't it break more easily then steel would?

Just remember, not all aluminum is created equal. Just buy one from Run2jeepn, you will be happy.

I am going to be buying a BMVII clod this weekend. It's been together for a few months and I got the priviledge to drive it in our last comp. It ranks right up there with the TLTs and the BMVII chassis in most areas, of course it seemed to climb the ledges and such a little better. Go for it, you will not be disappointed
