Default Clod to Axial Wheel Adaptors

I would like to know if someone could tell me were I could get some wheel adapters for axial 40 wheels and some moab xl tires I just ordered them and im waiting for them to arrive. I plan to narrow the wheels to 2" but im not sure what wheel adapters to use. RCP crawlers shows 12-17mm adapters but there out of stock. Not sure what are the best adapters to use. Any info would help a lot thanks.

They do come with adapters, but they are not the right one's for Clod outer stub shafts. Clod's use wheel hex's that are splined internaly and these splines fit over the outer stud shafts that are splined. The Axial adapters are not this type...they are meant to be used on trucks like the Maxx's and Revo type of shafts which have wheel hex's that are held on with cross pins through the outer stubs.

You have Bender's and you have RC4WD's adapters....there are others out there, but just go with one of them and you'll be good to go.

RC4WD 12-17 adaptors are also wideners. Im running a rockbull 3 chassis. If I narrow my axial wheels to 2" should I need wideners???????

I also have some that are about the same as Benders except aluminum. It all depends on what you want. Most people want a shear point and mine won't give you it like Benders will.Just remember, something has to give.

Here ya go:

Notice the back is cut out for a cross pin and not a splined attachment like the Clod shafts. These adapters work perfect if you want to put these wheels on say a Revo or T-Maxx

Thanks guys & Offroader5 for the info. Do any of you know if you have to run wideners with narrowed Axail wheels. I would like to get some ordered before my tires and wheels show up. Thanks again

i don't run wideners on mine. with the narrowed axials, it's wide enough with plenty of room to make it through narrow gates at comps.

i made my own, just used the cross-pin adaptors that come with the wheels.

used a dremel to make the hex recess
Cost: $0
a year of comps later, and they've yet to fail.

That's impressive considering the wheels haven't even been out for a year.
