| 6-whelled Pimp Cane
Can anyone see any problems like over-articulation, under articulation, too much stress on joints with a 6-wheeled pimp cane? (Let's throw scale out the window here). It seems fairly straightforward to me to get just bolt on 3 Clod axles onto a pimp cane spine. It would be with 7" wheels, 4" between the edges of the wheels. So that would be a 11" wheelbase between wheels with an overall wheel base of 22". Too long? Would the length cause problems? Hanging or anything like that that anyone can foresee? I'm also trying to figure out where to mount a box of electronics. I'm thinking maybe a very small area over the middle axle where it does not bend, and at the ends on top of the axle and outwards towards the ends, since those areas don't twist. I'm not sure how much twisting occurs in the spine locally to mount things with bolting. |

Sounds like a cool idea, might even perform better than a regular PC (won't get caught up as much). Just remember you will need to make sure your ESC can handle 3 motors, and you'll get more clod stall... |
