| Super Pimp finally done!!
Well I don't have any action pics yet because it only has one battery in the dark tonight to test. Let me say that I'm very pleased with the pimp cane and am glad I could use the info from everyone on this forum to use all the right stuff. Here's a quick rundown: 17" reverse rear pimp cane XTM Thorns narrowed to 2" w/moab XL's RC4WD 3/4 12mm to 14mm adapter Thundertech BTA front and rear Hyperion 3013's that I turned down w/ 8 tooth pinions Dual Mamba 25's JR DS8711 in front Hitec HS-5955 in rear Hitec 8 channel 75MHZ reciever....yes 75MHZ Controlled by a Hitec Eclipse 7 obviously on 75MHZ! It's nice to be able to mix both speed controls on one stick and be able to disable the mix at the flip of a switch, I could learn to like this setup. I think that's all the important stuff I will say that with dual digital servos and dual brushless motors this is one noisy beast but Ohhh how the torque is nice... |

Looks pretty good. Get you some knuckle packs and it will be even better. How are you liking those motors? They look sick in there.

You know I really am starting to like the mixing...I've only had one day on it but it makes life so much easier. Even with the brushless one motor or the other may have a slight tendancy to slow more that the other and to be able to add a little throttle on the other stick to get the rear pushing or keep it by pulling the stick back makes certain obstacles so much easier. I don't want these motors to be destroyed by my bashing nature so I rigged up some really rough motor guards until I get a better Idea, so far they work pretty well. They go around the steering also so that's kind of nice, I didn't have much of a choice though. |

Well I got the knuckel packs done and really like the way this thing handles with them. With the narrowed thorns and the wideners, battery swaps will be real easy also. I'm going to try to get a couple short videos on here tomorrow evening to show that this thing actually does move. |

Got the new camera up and running so I figured I'd test it out this evening. Here's a little video of the pimp in action. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...oid=2025769754 |

Good work all around. |

I'm guessing you're asking how I turned down the motor shafts?? I just took the motors apart and put the shafts in a lathe and turned them down. Oh yeah.....and today I snapped a damn axle shaft so I guess it's time to get some CVD's. Last edited by totalxbadass; 04-29-2007 at 11:44 PM. |
