New (Old!) Clod First Mods?

Being as I'm new to the crawling side of things, and have never messed with a Clod before, what are some good first mods to do? I want mainly to increase durability, and gain some flex, without going whole hog on a comp only rig.

locked diffs, on axle steering.

grind off the stops on the knucles for sharper turning.

at the top of the forum is a section called faq. there are also other threads up there, look.

welcome to the world of clods.

clod booster is right and ball bearings are great to add since the stock ones are a hard plastic that needs alot of lube to turn

First thing I would do is get a chassis...That alone is your biggest mod needed. Then get some lathes and lock your axles. Buy some good tires and some decent servo's. That should get ya started on the right track.

I have a couple of nice painted up T-Maxx sized bodies to run. What's a good beginner chassis, something with a 14" or so wheelbase?
