| Groove on the clod axle
In this picture, you can see a small "ball" on the stock Clod axle that has a small groove cut into it on both sides. What is that groove for? I am considering using that "groove" to make an axle brace. I am at work at the moment and wanted to go buy a couple of parts from the hardware store, does anyone know the distance from groove to groove around the axle? On the black plastic (my pic isn't very good) there is a small ball between the axle C and the gearcase. On that ball, there is a groove cut on the upper and lower portion of it that run perpendicular to the width of the axle. I added in arrows on the pic to show the precise location I am speaking of.
