Default Drive pin replacements?

With the TTR CVD's what can you use if you have lost (or cut down to fit drilled out hexes) the small drive pins that are retained by the rubber o-ring on the drive hex?

Shank of a drill bit works well. You can order rod from mcmaster if you want to get fancy. I'm sure you can also find replacements on tower, those pins are a pretty standard size.

I would stick to hardened steel, plain steel just shears or bends.
