Same here TWINSET, I just put together two axles with the Integy metal gears, required a shim on both, first gear from motor side, after that they are very smooth though. I also got some axle tubes from Integy, one out of four tubes has the mounting holes slightly misaligned, when mounted to the axle housing you can see that the knuckle end is slightly off, slightly cocked compared to the other side, I also purchased some Integy steering knuckles, but after seeing the JP Custom knuckles I decided to go with them, so I'm going with JP's and TTR CVD's, having the batteries inside the wheels seems great for lower CG.

I also purchased the Integy steering link set and found that the short link which connects to the servo is too short to connect from the long side, and too long to connect from the short side? not sure what they were thinking with the length?
