Question building a stick clod

Question of the day .I've built a tuber /stick chassis using spherical bearings on each end , they are orignally for harley shifter linkage5/16hole for to go on chassis ends and 5/16 threaded rod to mount axles .themounting hole ion axles is 3/8 id does any one have a good idea for shimming the threaded rod thanks

You can buy the Hiem Joint for Dirt Cheap... Why not just buy them instead of Shimming it? But you can always just find some sort of metal Sleeve to go over the 5/16 rod to make it 3/8's... but thats just a BandAid of a Fix..TSC sells the Joints as spare parts for his Stick chassis.

Try thin walled brass tubing, it's 3/8 OD and the threaded rod should be a perfect fit. I've seen it a my LHS and should work for you.
