spring rates?

so, i want to lower my clod but dont want to just cut my springs as id like it if when the suspenion is at full drop the springs dont unload compleately and flop around making it too easy for them to not reseat properly. i did a serach and didnt find any info on what size shox use what diffrent brands of springs or any info on over all spring rates. i figure i can weigh all my "sprung weight" and use that data to help me pick a spring rate that will sit at an over all lower ride height with out being bottomed out all the time.

i know about dual spring set ups and they seem tow ork ok for some but my axles arnt that heavy and doing a dual spring set up wont work all that super well for me.

thanks

also, for grins, what in the world brnad shox do i have? i think they are running losi springs but im not sure what shox they are as i iv seen a few shox that are close to the same as these in over all looks.

If you are running canti's then just shorten the conecting rod to your axles.

i would losse some travel out if i simply shortened my canti rod's. not what im trying to do. i simply wany my suspenion to not sit at 100% extended position. im looking to get my suspenion to sit more like 50% extended so i can have a good amount of drop and such.

thanks

I'm not sure what shocks those are. It looks like you might have Losi springs on it.
Measure the free length of the spring, then you can use these charts to find a softer spring rate of the same length or a softer spring that is longer. If yours are the 5134 springs I might go to the 5152 spring and go to a thinner spacer.

Hope this helps.

rad thanks, thats the kind of data i was looking for!.... i was hoping there was rates down to like .75lbs in fulllenth out there and such just for extra wide range of options and such!... this will make things easyer. iv been debatiging having to alter some springs to get things just hwo i want, but this is a hell of a start.

thanks!...
