Default My clod

Hi guys,

I recently got hooked watching crawling videos, and although I've attempted a few crawlers before, and built smaller scale ones. I couldn't help myself when I saw this, it's hard to find clods over here so I jumped on this one.

I had to give it a little rework, it was pretty high up for a start.

It has RC4WD Bent lower links, and top links, RC4WD shock mounts. Alloy piggybacks, 12KG Servos front and rear. Independent rear steer. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, as I have to shoot to work.

I need to make a link bar so I can get my front and rear upper links triangulated a little more.

Chassis looks like it has been professionally cut, and it's a very sturdy chassis.

I really need some new tires/wheels though.

If anyone has suggestions to improve the rig, let me know! Please.

No weights in the wheels, I'm still waiting on a front Pinion! I have none, just a stock rear one which is installed in the rear. Anyone want to help a fella' out ?

New tires/wheels are a must for sure, but paycheck is almost disappeared. Almost forgot I have to live! haha.

Thanks!

I would move the upper links on the chassis more forward so it corrects the pitch on your axles. the way it sits now the motors point too far down.

Yep, longer upper links will help you out a bunch.

Lifts the motor out of the way too, I've found.

Also, I would stand the rear shock up more, means you have a bit more stability in steep climbs.

Otherwise, looks like you're off to a good start!

Thanks guys! I'll have a play around with the link setup and see what I can get out of it. I've adjusted the shocks a little already as well.

Thanks for the help
