I am running a 8cell 1500mAh 9.6v 2/3a battery pack on my stick the pack last about 30 -40mins. I would go for a higher mAh pack. Higher the mAh longer battery life

Regards

james

true, I have a 1500mah and a 4200mah, I get about an hour out of the 1500 and about an hour and a half from the 4200, real low gears in mine though, no speed what so ever, speed is what kills the most.

How can you only be getting an extra half hour of runtime from a pack that has 2.5 times the capacity?

Any time I doubled my MAH rating I've doubled my run time.

I think the release of current does not play that much into it.

I mean think about it.
1500mah=1 hour
4200mah=280% increase in capacity

Yet you are claiming only a 50% increase in runtime?

Crazy!

You might want to check that 4200mah pack out.

I run two 55T lathes, Rooster Crawler ESC, 6 4200 sub c's, 7 tooth pinions and I get 1.5 hr runtimes easily, there's a lot of variables with runtime and batteries though.
