That looks awesome What are you supposed to do about the axle tube brace? Looks like the whole is blocked. |

The upper brace is to support the axle tube where it bolts on to the gear case, not so much to make the axle c stronger. The servo plate ties back into the gear case at the upper hole to give back that support. Yes the servo side plastic axle tube has some flex but it has not been a problem as of yet. I have broken a handfull of plastic axle tubes but none have been the upper C on the servo side |

Looks like a pretty secure set-up. For those of you not running aluminum tubes, our outer axle stiffeners will take care of breakage around the upper axle C. In this case, these would be direct bolt-ons with no modification required to the case. Without the gearbox brace installed, you will greatly increase your chances of breaking the top ear off the axle tube with a hard fall/landing. Last edited by Grizzly4x4; 11-28-2007 at 01:56 PM. i don't like the way you lose the axle brace on the servo side, otherwise looks good if you had it so you could use a brace then it would be better imo |

Nice design, props to Hand Bros! The lack of an axle brace shouldn't bother you. My 805 mounts don't use a brace, I haven't broken a C as of yet. I ain't babying it neither. |

I like the reverse position so it can be mounted on the front. Due to my axle brace mounts I don't think I would be able to do the BTA steering. |

it has more to do w/ the rig falling or being dropped on end... i have hand bros on my rigs, and will upgrade to aluminum once my plastic axle housings break. | |
