Default 2.2 "Benny"

Hello Rcc,

My 2.2 Clod I call "Benny"

Been working on this for a few weeks, still need lots of work before its RTR.

It's sitting on M2K's right now, I want to get some of those Rock Claws, seem to be a good tire. I've been out of the loop in the rc crawler world for about a year. So theres all kinds of new stuff out there, at least to me.

Spec's

Clod axle's. BTA steering

Home-brew chassis

Hitec servo's, 4ws.

Super Rooster ESC.

wheel's are temp', I plan on doing a custom set of wheels.

Heres are a few more pic's.

Welcome, looks like a great rig. But how is it a 2.2 Clod when it has Maxx wheels on it?

I think you will find that the Losi claws are too short to work well on a 2.2 Clod. You won't have any diff clearance.

Maybe not. With shaving and narrowing the track width as much as possible. They might work well. Or not. I haven't tested it that far yet. Pulling the tires in tighter to the Diff will help on Diff Clearance.

It's 2.2 becuase those are 2.2 mashers, they just look bigger becuase of the wheels.

Your right about the tires, I'm thinking of a different tires, I'm drawing a blank on the name though, I remember them being a bit taller then a masher/ Moab.

With your narrow axle parts, then I think they would work great.
At full width, the diffs would hang on everything.

Good looking rig.

Who's rims are they?

You know 4WS is not legal in 2.2 comp! Instead use the third channel for DIG

Thanks,

I made those wheels a while ago, never used them though. They were my first attempt at making some wheels, so its pretty cool to see them on a rig.

good Idea on the rear dig
