Tap it with a Screw driver or somehthing to test the new case. Better to find it's weak part now then after it's completly built.

body halfway mounted. Had to grind on the front of the chassis and stretch & push down the bug body to get it lower like i wanted.

wanted it low as i could get it without hacking into the nose piece. i think it looks pretty cool

if you can get a 2/3a pack made a cheapbatterypacks.com and stick on one of the front axle tubes. i wouldnt mount your battery on the bottom other wise its gonna be draged on the rocks.

yea i know what your saying but the way it is now, i will have 3 1/2" of ground clearance at the battery after putting the tires on.

i figure with this pimp cane having soo much clearance, if i put the battery under it, i would still have more clearance than most shafty's.

trying to not put ALL the weight on the front axle, keeping it low and a little more centered.

:hijack on:

i mounted my battery to the side of my homemade cane chassis, seems to be holding up alright for a nice centered weight distribution. I vote go for it but obviously expect some rock contact.

:hijack off:

The battery placemnt would be alright there, but then again it's going to be used as a skid plate has well. Look into a small 2 cell Lipo and run on the axle brace. That will put the weight up front and also a little lower. One more thing is that the Lipo will weigh less then half that 6 cell pack.

its a REALLY nice setup, that tieod plate is STOUT. only thing weird was in the directions it says a servo arm at 8mm long is best with this. That cant be right, 8mm would never work.

had to do a little grinding on the servo bracket to fit around the jp axle tubes
