I like how you spent alot of time shaving the axle for clearance. It's just the smallest amount that makes a big difference.

I'm still wondering about the strength of it after some good abuse. I spent alot of time using jb weld on my 1:6 Rubiclod and it cracks, breaks, and chips over time. I used the jb weld (not kwik) to reinforce my already-bolted-down control arm mounts (crossmember mounts, similar to long arm setups) and after about 6 months of roll-overs, it cracked so i had to re-weld it. I also used it on other parts to fix cracks, such as the upper control arm mount (hole in the case for the control arm mount to go in). I found a crack starting from all the stress of the upper arms pulling and pushing the plastic. I jb-welded that and it held just fine since. If i were to do the same thing you did, i may put a sheet of thin sheet metal over the jb-weld while it's drying and then apply a coat of jb over the metal, like a sanwhich: weld, sheet metal, weld. That'll be nearly unbreakable. The metal acts as a backbone or reinforcement plate for the weld.

Please let us know how it stands up to the abuse over time. Great rig man.
